Data Mining
HSR has much expertise in data mining and analysis. We will look at the data records you maintain on individual alumni, analyze these data and report to you any interesting relationships we observe. We will identify any data records that relate to alumni attitudes and giving. We will give you feedback on the quality of your alumni records and suggest alternative data formats if necessary. We will help you use these data to enhance alumni engagement and increase giving.
When we conduct alumni surveys, we require respondents to authenticate who they are by using a secure logon ID. The logon ID also allows us to merge our survey data with any existing archival records that schools maintain on individual alumni. This means, if your archival records already include data on alumni gender, class year, ethnicity or the academic programs and student organizations to which alumni belonged, we do not need to include these questions on our survey. This keeps our surveys short, and makes it much more likely that our survey will be completed by alumni. However, if you do not have these records, we can obtain these data for you and assist you in uploading these data into your alumni data record systems.
