Dr. Jim Flynn Facilitates a Focus Group with Black/African-American Alumni from Johnson and Wales
30-Apr-2011 -The 2010 Johnson & Wales University Alumni Survey raised questions about the attitudes and campus experiences of JWU’s Black/African-American alumni community. African-American alumni reported feeling a greater “sense of belonging” than did other ethnic groups. However, the University was not sure why they felt this greater “sense of belonging”. Dr. Flynn facilitated a focus group with these alumni to better understand their attitudes, needs and campus experiences, as well as to determine why they felt a greater “sense of belonging” than did other ethnic groups.
